What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences, and give us insight into how visitors are using the site so we can keep improving it.
How We Use Cookies
We keep this short, because we use very few. At DeAura Media we use cookies and similar storage to:
- Remember the choices you make on the site, such as your cookie preferences and language
- Understand how visitors use the site, only if you accept analytics cookies
We do not use advertising, marketing or retargeting cookies.
Types of Cookies We Use
Necessary
These remember choices you make yourself, so they do not need your consent.
- dm-consent (stored in your browser, not a cookie): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. Kept for 24 months, then we ask again.
- googtrans: set only if you switch the site to Spanish, to remember that choice. The translation itself comes from Google Translate, which loads from Google only after you pick Spanish.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest. These are strictly necessary for features you ask for.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, tells us which pages people visit, how they arrive and whether they book a call or download a guide. It only loads after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Reject, nothing from Google Analytics is loaded at all.
- _ga: tells visits apart. Lasts 2 years.
- _ga_865CMBF4Q1: keeps track of the current visit. Lasts 2 years.
Advertising features are switched off, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Please note: Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and also uses standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Embedded content
- Calendly: the booking calendar on our Book a Call page only loads when you click Show available times. Calendly may set its own cookies from that moment. You can also book on Calendly directly.
- YouTube and Vimeo: videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, and Vimeo with do-not-track), which avoids tracking cookies.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit our website, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accept and Reject are offered side by side, and the site works the same whichever you choose.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. For guidance, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Third-Party Services
The third parties listed above operate under their own privacy policies and data processing terms. We only work with providers that meet adequate data protection standards.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Withdraw your consent to cookie use at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or request information about the personal data we hold about you. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
We recommend checking back periodically to stay informed.
